This coffee is produced in Risaralda in Western Colombia. The area is known for it's impressive rambling green mountainous areas, Risaralda is home to many coffee producers.
This wonderful sugar cane de-caffeinated coffee is imported by Raw Material, who work with local producers across the department of Risaralda. This local blend from farmers is a wonderful expression of the region. Each farmer receives a stable price for their coffee harvest, by Raw Material purchasing their coffee, they are helping to provide economic stability and consistent market for the local farmers.
This coffee has been processed and washed using traditional methods before being naturally decaffeinated using the sugarcane and water process. Whilst maintaining all of it's incredible flavours.
Have you noticed that your decaf beans appear darker than your caffeinated coffee? This is because the beans have been wet and then dried and the raw beans are therefore darker in appearance.
