Variety: Caturra, Castillo, Colombia
Process: Washed
Producer: A wonderful group of 4 local Farmers from El Sendero farm, Santa Rosita, la Conjerea and El Carmen.

 

Roaster notes: "This new micro lot is a total crowd pleaser, typical of a great Colombian coffee from my home region of Antioquia, with delicious dark chocolate depth; mellow acidity - great on its on or as a flat white, sweet with notes of forest berries.  We have been mostly enjoying this coffee as an ace flat white in our espresso machine and with our stove top".

This coffee is grown by farmers Wilmar, Gregorio, Guillermo and Marco who are all equally passionate about their coffee and quality which combine to make this local coffee blend a taste sensation.

The farms are based around the town of San Roque, in Antioquia, Colombia.  Located in the central Andes of Colombia where the conditions are perfect for producing high  quality arabica beans.

Each of the farmers have a very strict coffee cherry selection criteria.  After screening, only the ripe cherries are allowed into the de-pulping machine.  The fermentation period takes between 28 and 32 hours.  After fermentation, the coffee is washed and sun dried on patios and drying beds to reach the perfect moisture level.

This coffee has been sourced and imported by our friends Colombian Artisan Coffee.
