2024: A Year of delightful Brews and Exciting New Ventures at Carnival Coffee Roasters!
As the aroma of freshly roasted beans fills the air and the last moments of 2024 are savoured, we at Carnival Coffee Roasters reflect on a year brimming with flavour, community, and exciting new ventures.
It's been a whirlwind of a journey, filled with delicious discoveries and shared moments with you and the fellow coffee community. We have loved every moment, thank you for coming along for the ride.
During 2024 we have Introduced and shared with you a whooping 40 new coffees including welcoming back new harvests of Carnival favourites. We launched our exciting new Curiosity coffee range; celebrating rare and unique delightful coffee.
2024 in epic numbers
- 40 new, unique, single origin, speciality coffees
- 1,278 roasts
- We roasted 12,381 KG of coffee which was a whooping 25% increase on 2023.

Community Connections
We hosted a series of cupping events across the UK to introduce our new curiosity coffee range, sharing our passion for speciality coffee and connecting with fellow coffee lovers. The response was incredible, with lively discussions and a shared appreciation for all things coffee.
London Coffee Festival
We were super lucky to be back at the London Coffee Festival in 2024, brewing up some delightful, innovative coffees including a super fruity natural process decaf coffee from our friends at Forest Coffee and introducing the 2-WayCup to festival goers.
Brewing Champions
The inaugural Carnival Coffee Brewing Competition; the Simplify Cup saw talented baristas from across the country showcase their skills. Congratulations to Wesker Chung, who wowed the judges with their precision and creativity.
Friday Cupping club
We hosted an incredible 50 community coffee tastings on a Friday lunch time; the Carnival Cupping club. We tasted, slurped our way through some innovative coffees, deep diving into the sensory impact of flavour, aroma and mouth feel. Friday cupping club will be back in January 2025, mark your diaries and join us on Fridays as Midday. No need to book, just come along.
Winner of the top 10 innovative coffee shops in the UK - Carnival Coffee Roasters was one of the lucky winners of BRITA'S Ground of Innovation award
We were super excited to win a spot in BRITA's top 10 Grounds of Innovation. We're so proud to be part of London's vibrant coffee scene, and it's been a dream come true to open our roastery and coffee shop in South East London. We love sharing our passion for coffee with this amazing community.
Sustainability First
We continued to champion sustainable practices throughout our operations, from sourcing ethically produced beans to minimising our environmental footprint. We believe that great coffee should also be good for the planet.
Food Bank Donations
We have donated over £5k's worth of coffee in 2024 to our local food banks and continue to be super proud of these important partnerships. Thank you for helping us support these vital services.
Colombia Origin trip
We were lucky to visit some of the amazing coffee farms we have been working with for years in Colombia as well as visiting some new, exciting Colombian coffee regions. We got hands on with processing, picking coffee and planting trees and managed to secure some super exciting lots for you all, coming soon in 2025!
Looking Ahead
We're brewing up even bigger plans for 2025! Stay tuned for exciting new coffee releases, expanded workshop offerings & classes, and collaborations with local artists and businesses. We can't wait to share this journey with you.
