FROM COLOMBIA TO SOUTH EAST LONDON
Juan's grandfather won a mountainside outside Medellín, Colombia, in a game of cards many moons ago – and the family have been growing incredible coffee there ever since.
Years later, while backpacking through Central America with our children, one mind-blowing cup in Chiapas, Mexico got us thinking about the joy of great coffee and the magic of the bean.
We came home, packed in our jobs and started Carnival Coffee Roasters in South East London.
OUR MISSION
To roast awesome speciality coffee that's full of flavour and wonder, while respecting the people, places and beans behind every cup. We want to share our love of great coffee and bring people together through everything we do.
WHO'S BEHIND THE COFFEE?
We're Jayne and Juan, and our family is the life and soul of the Carnival Coffee adventure.
From our workshop in South East London, we source and roast incredible speciality coffee, working with producers and giving every bean the care and respect it deserves.

From friends delivering coffee by bike and local businesses we collaborate with, to the artwork of our friend and neighbour Rosie Lovelock, Carnival has grown with the support of our local community. Penge – we salute you!

OUR ARTWORK
Our packaging is designed by our friend and Penge-based artist and illustrator Rosie Lovelock. Each coffee has its own unique mask inspired by the carnivals, colours, patterns and celebrations of its origin.
