About this awesome coffee –

Tastes like: Chocolate, Hazelnut, Toffee Apple
Mountain: 1,550 - 1,650
Variety: Caturra, Catuai, Bourbon
Process: Washed
Producer: Women smallholder farmers in San Antonio Husita

Roaster notes: "This is a rich, delightful coffee that is the perfect accompaniment heading into autumn and winter.  It's bold, sweet, and chocolatey with a hint of hazelnut and lingering toffee apple notes.  This coffee is lovely drunk on its own and is also a great partner with milk, a really easy all day drinker".

This very lovely coffee is grown in small hold farms across the mountainous region of Huehuetenango.  Coffee from this region is famous for being sweet and rounded with notes of chocolate.  This community lot is grown by Women small holders, the coffee is taken and washed at the local wet mills and then laid out to dry in the sun on patios.

Much of the coffee supply chain has been and continues to be dominated by men, but this coffee offers a premium to Guatemalan women producers, encouraging and rewarding their involvement from cultivation to processing.

We are very grateful to our importing partners, Primavera coffee who have worked locally to create this lovely community lot, celebrating women producers in the region.

Recommended brewing: Espresso, Aero Press, Stove Top and Cafetiere - check out our starter brewing recipes
