About this awesome coffee:
Mountain: 1,800 - 1914 MASL
Variety: Geisha
Process: Washed
Producer: Jennifer Delgado Sánchez
La Loma, La Unión, Nariño, Colombia
High in the mountains of La Unión, Nariño, Jennifer Delgado Sánchez tends the small plots of Geisha coffee that surround her farm, La Loma. Here, where warm sunshine meets cool mountain nights, the cherries ripen slowly, concentrating their sweetness and allowing the delicate floral character of the Geisha variety to shine.
Rather than relying on experimental processing, Jennifer chose the traditional washed method, letting the coffee speak for itself. Every step, from carefully selecting only the ripest cherries to washing and drying them with precision, is designed to reveal the character of the land rather than mask it.
The result is a cup with remarkable clarity. Expect elegant florals, soft stone fruit sweetness and a bright, lively acidity that lingers long after the last sip. It is refined, expressive and wonderfully balanced.
In 2025, this exceptional lot was selected for La Mejor Taza de Nariño, one of Colombia's most prestigious coffee competitions. Before reaching the international auction, the coffee had already impressed judges through multiple rounds of blind tasting, earning its place alongside some of the finest coffees produced in the region.
For us, coffees like this are a reminder that extraordinary flavour begins long before roasting. It starts with dedicated producers like Jennifer, whose care, patience and attention to detail transform a handful of ripe cherries into something truly memorable.
We are honoured to share her coffee with you.
The Story of La Mejor Taza de Nariño
Every year, coffee growers from across the mountains of Nariño choose the very best coffee from their harvest and bring it together for La Mejor Taza de Nariño – The Best Cup of Nariño.
Over several days, each coffee is tasted by expert judges before the highest scoring lots are offered at a live auction to roasters from around the world.
This year, Juan travelled to Colombia to cup the finalist coffees and take part in the auction. Surrounded by the farmers who had grown them, we were lucky enough to secure three beautiful Geisha lots to bring home to Carnival.
Each coffee tells the story of a family, a farm and a year of hard work. We're honoured to share them with you.
